Acrylic Material Construction
Acrylic desiccators utilize 1/4" acrylic - an inherently inert and clean material (non out-gassing).  Competitive brands are often constructed using less expensive 3/16" poly/vinyl/chloride (PVC) material with plasticizers present, which can contaminate contents.

Static Dissipative Acrylic Material Construction
Static dissipative acrylic desiccators utilize 1/4" static dissipative acrylic material and cannot be tribocharged when properly grounded.

The primary purpose of desiccators is to establish precise relative humidity levels to protect moisture sensitive materials in a clean environment.

Ironically, most desiccators in service have no RH% moisture control and often consume excess nitrogen to compensate.  TDI has developed an economic, solid state system that accurately controls humidity and reduces nitrogen consumption.

Competitive desiccator brands offer expensive moisture control systems that are dependent on electro-mechanical switches to control moisture flow.  These systems are subject to  maintenance with repair/replacement in the long run with compromised reliability.

Ultra Nitro-Flow® Compartment Flow Through System
Acrylic desiccators are constructed with Ultra Nitro-Flow® compartment flow-throughs, which achieve a single pressure throughout the cabinet.  This unique design allows maximum flow in both the vertical and horizontal directions and reduces higher moisture humidity conditions between compartments.  The Ultra Nitro-Flow® system allows for a single Automatic Bleeder Valve and Nitro-Save® for multiple compartment cabinets.

TDI's composite doors, gaskets, latches and hinges superior design features insure maximum airtight sealing of our desiccators, while eliminating the need for expensive stainless steel door frames.

Although the doors of a desiccator are often the first failure point of a cabinet, TDI's composite design features have proven virtually indestructible in our 25 years of providing these cabinets to our customers worldwide.

Typical competitive brands with the composite thinner plastic door material, rubber gaskets mounted to the door and refrigerator style latch features require the heavy and expensive stainless steel door frames to achieve adequate sealing.
