| TDI Fine Hard Wire cutters are very special cutting instruments. These cutters are made from a tungsten-cobalt alloy and heat treated to a Rockwell C hardness of 66-68. These tools cut with great success fine wire made from such hard material as stainless steel, Nitinol, Elgiloy, and Tungsten.
To insure high cutting performance, long tool life, and to prevent breakage please observe the following precautions:
- Do not hit, strike, or drop the cutters onto a hard surface.
- Do not try to bend or distort the cutters jaws or handles.
- Do not exert excessive force, such as attempting to cut wire thicker than the cutter model's rated capacity, normally .007" to .010" (0.18mm - 0.25mm) see chart above.
- Keep the cutter clean and dry.
